Our concept played a pivotal role in winning the pitch for Ford, aiming to generate maximum excitement among both new and existing customers for their return to Le Mans after 50 years. The ambitious idea featured a classic Ford GT40 looking back on its historic victory over Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966 through the lens of past film achievements. Fast forward 50 years, and Ford was set to return with its modern-day racer. To honour this legacy, I developed a content campaign that, in just nine words, captured the essence of the rivalry for racing fans of all ages: “We’ve been watching. We’ve been waiting. Now we’re back.”

The entire campaign revolved around an epic launch film that showcased the transformation of the iconic, race-winning GT40 into the modern-day Ford GT racer. I collaborated with external partners to bring the CGI elements to life, while also overseeing the on-location car shoot in France. Alongside the film, we delivered a full suite of images as part of the campaign.

The film, along with press, social media, and campaign assets, ignited a media frenzy, quickly becoming the second most-watched film in Ford Performance’s history on YouTube. It captured the attention of both mainstream and social media audiences, making it an unforgettable success.
